When the winds rise, the clouds darken, and the storm is at its worst—how do you survive? In Week 2 of our Storm Chasers series, we explore the spiritual tools and truths that anchor us when life hits hardest. “How to Survive Your Worst Storm” reminds us that surviving isn’t just about making it through—it’s about growing deeper in faith in the middle of chaos.
We’ll learn how to prepare before the storm by grounding ourselves in the unshakable Word of God (1 Peter 1:23). We’ll see how to fix our eyes on Jesus, the one who endured the cross and now reigns in victory (Hebrews 12:2). Rather than asking “Why me?”, we’ll ask, “What is God doing in me?”, discovering the purpose behind our pain (1 Peter 4:12-14).
When surrender feels like weakness, we’ll declare, “Come what may, Lord, have your way,” choosing humility and trust over fear (1 Peter 5:6-11). Sacrificing our will for His reveals the power of the precious blood of Christ, who redeemed us with eternal purpose (1 Peter 1:18-21). And through it all, we’ll put our hope in the living Christ—our anchor in every storm (1 Peter 1:3-7).
No matter how fierce the storm, Jesus is with you. Sometimes He calms the storm. Sometimes He calms you. Either way—stay in His presence. Stay in the eye of the storm (James 4:8).
